Day #48... And Then Came The Boom!!!

"Go for JCrum"

That's right fellas.  Softball season is right around the corner.  With the work-outs we're doing and the weight we're losing... we're gonna be in great shape for softball.  Plus, w/ the addition of a new bat (thanks D-Rock) the opposition will be filled with fear and awe.  That's right SHOCK-N-AWE BABY!!!  That's going to be our team motto.  I'm feeling good this week.  This new work-out is kicking my butt, but also helping w/ the weight loss.  Let's keep up the good work.

Day #48 "GOT THAT RIGHT"

That's right boyz.....softball season is right around the corner, and my new softball bat just came in yesterday. WOOT WOOT!!! I can't wait to beat the mess out of this sucker.
Today is the 4th day of the new routine....it's killer. I feel like I've done a million squats and push ups today. I'm not just sweating around my face, my whole body is soaked by the end of the work out. I'm excited to see the results after doing this routine for a month. see most of you tonight.

Day #47... OUCH... MY LEGS!!!

"Go for JCrum"

Wow... do my legs hurt something fierce!  I thought I wasn't going to make it through cardio this morning.  My legs were so sore from yesterday's sculpt circuits.  But I did.  I just thought of what a friend told me once... GIT'R DUN!!!!  With this new work-outs being amped up, I have a feeling we're going to see some weight change this week at weigh-ins.  Call me crazy... but I think it's going to happen.  That's enough for now.  I'm going to get a massage.  But not really!

Day #46 Supa blah.....

"Go for D-Blah..."

We are now just over half way through with our first 90 days of this transformation. Some of us have started the next sections of workouts, which is a lot more challenging. Yesterday i did the new sweat routine, and today i went straight into the new sculpt routine. WOW!!! I am completely exhausted after these new workouts.... I took this picture right after i finished sweat last night, i thought i might be able to capture how badly i was sweating. The picture can't begin to show the sweat that was pouring from my body. Lets have a great week and keep up the hard work.

"D-Blah out"

TONY HORTON IS A PUNK!!!

I did the first 3-4 cardio on friday, but due to the stuff at JBU this weekend wasn't able to do sculpt. Lisa and I did it this morning...and we DIED!! I have not been this worn out since, well, never! It's a little discouraging. I know that it will get easier as time goes by, but it still sux. I am not looking forward to weigh-ins this week. My diet this past 3 or 4 days has been ugly. Time to get back on track. Let's keep each other lifted up...it's only gonna get harder from here. Hutch, we miss ya buddy. Looking forward to seeing ya thurs.

P.S. Lisa says "I'm dead. Bad news is Todd's wife is dead. Good news is.....HELLLOOOO BASS BOAT!" :-) Keep going guys and gals!JK

Day #45... WOW!!!!!

"Go for JCrum"

Ok... I way underestimated Phase 3-4.  Just finished the sweat circuit and ab ripper 200... and I'm about to die.  My legs hurt... my arms hurt... my abs are on fire!!!  That was not fun at all, but the time did fly through it.  I can't wait for the sculpt circuit in the morning.  I can already feel those calories and pounds disappearing.  Hang tough boys... we're not done yet!!!

Week # 6 - almost half way

This weeks numbers may look a little weird, we had several people from our group MIA last night. Hopefully next week we can get back on track. Keep up the hard work guys!

Day #42... Weight Ins

"Go for JCrum"

So tonight is weigh-ins.  I dread these more every week.  I guess it's b/c my weight loss is slowing down.  I hope that's not a recurring theme.  Anyway, I work out hard and eat pretty good.  I drink lots of water and, on occasions, have a Dr. Pepper.  I guess as long as I'm seeing results in the mirror than the fat is falling off... just not on the scale.  Oh well, I feel better than I felt in years and now I don't get as tired as I used to.  And with softball season around the corner, I want to be in the best shape I have ever been.  Ok, enough for now.  See you guys tonight... ON THE SCALE!!!

"JCrum OUT"

WHAT UP YALL!!!!!

I have to tell everyone what happened this morning. I was getting my clothes ready for the JBU Parent Council Meeting tonite(so Lisa could iron them for me, like a good wife should!!), and all I had to choose from was my one pair of khaki pants that fit me. That was until P-90!! I have three others hanging up in my closet, but havent been able to wear them in years. I tried them all on today and THEY ALL FIT!!!!!!!!!!! It feels good to be able to wear things that I haven't been able to in sooooo long! Let's all keep this going! You never know, we may have to put out a SUPA PHAT CLUB calender next year!!!!!
Really looking forward to starting circuit 3-4 this week. Sorry I had to miss the get together last night. I hope everyone lost last night. See yall Sunday!

Day #39 - Presidents Day

"Go for D-Rock"

Presidents Day - How i love working for the man! Had a great day off starting with some laundry. Meet Kev-O for some lunch. Mmmmm...Sushi makes me feel good. Then i went to Kev-O's to unload some wood. We ended up doing to lumberjack workout today which included splitting a whole bunch of honkin pieces of wood. Dinner with Dad who stayed at Fayetteville for the evening. Overall, a great day off.

Hutch...Day (Out of Town)

What's up...I'm still gone..I know you all miss me...I'm doing well and visited Mt. Rushmore today. I've been doing well eating too. I also bought my first pair of jeans from the Buckle today (they were on extreme sale). That may not mean much to you guys, but for those who don't know, I've never been able to fit into their clothes. I tried a pair of jeans on today, and they fit perfect...I couldn't resist. I hope you all are doing well. Go Bro. G, throwin his darts until he leaves! Woot Woot...

Day # 38 - Fits like a glove

Woke up this morning and hit the sculpt circuit. It love the way i feel after this workout. After i got out of the shower, i got dressed for church and something amazing happened. For the first time in a long time i was able to fit into one of my black pair of slacks and i also was able to button my black suit jacket. For me this was a really amazing feat. At the youth Christmas party i wore my suite jacket but couldn't button it. I am not only starting feel different but i am noticing that my cloths fit differently also. Another awesome benefit of this new lifestyle, i have not been taking antacids on a daily basis like before. I actually haven't taken any.

(this is me in the suite i wore today right after i bought it 4 years ago)

Day #37 - Amish Transformation

'D-Rock in the house"

So....as many have noticed, i have done away with the nasty beard. I did however successfully complete a no shave January. The day i finally shaved it all off, i was pretty much fed up with the massive amount of fuzz on my face. After shaving my face i felt like a new man. I thought i would post a couple picture to show the transformation from nasty to nastier and back to decent.

Day #36... Confessions of a PHAT-Y

"Go for JCrum"

I have to admit this losing weight thing is a lot harder than sounds.  Just don't eat as much, work-out, and drink lots of water and the weight should come off.  Granted I am probably gaining muscle... but it helps to see the weight go down also.  This week I'm going to try to drink as much water as humanly possible and "try" to eat less than normal.  Which is probably my problem to begin with.  I don't eat bad stuff... I just eat more than I should.  Anyway, it's a little frustrating to work so hard for 1.5 lbs.  For next weigh-in I want to be in double figures for total weight loss.  We'll see what happens... keep fighting the good fight!

"JCrum OUT"

Woot Woot!!! Weigh in Day #35

Another great week. A total weight loss of 118lbs to date. That number doesn't even include Hutch since he is on the road. Keep up the great work guys!

Hutch...Day 36...Gone but not forgotten...

Hey everyone, it's 5:16 a.m...we just arrived in South Dakota and the 20 degrees here is much colder than Northwest Arkansas' 20 degrees...I'll never complain about the cold again back home, cause at that point I'll be reminded that there is some poor kid in SD that's a lot colder than me....right now i'm gonna go find that poor kid and steal his coat...

Anyway, i'm pooped...we left at Noon yesterday, stopped for dinner in Omaha and kept driving. I'm glad everyone lost weight...I feel like i did, but then again, it could just be the frigid cold. More pics and vids to come soon...I'll keep you all posted while i'm away. Like a fat kid in dodge ball, I'M OUT!

Day #35 - Weigh in

"Go for D-Rock"

Yesterday I was down with the sickness so i didn't get to work out. I woke up this morning to hit it hard. For some reason during sculpt today i was pouring sweat.....i felt really good after completing my work out and hitting the showers. I'm looking forward to our weigh in tonight, I'm hoping to have lost another couple pounds. Hutch(you sucka)....you will be missed tonight....Hope that you enjoy your trip and lose a bunch more weight while you are gone.

On another note....for all of our followers I just wanted to say that we appreciate your support as well. I also want to encourage anyone that is looking at this blog and thinking "I wish I could do that". Losing weight is always a struggle in many peoples lives. We aren't unique or superhuman, we are just like any of yourself. I know that we are inspiring each other, and we hope that we can inspire you as well.

Is there a secret? I can tell you that we all are going about it a little differently. For me and my life style changes i have been cutting out sugars, eating foods low in fat, eating high fiber and high protein foods, cutting out most processed foods, and eating lots of fruits and vegetables. On the work out side, find something that you enjoy and get active. For me it's a steady workout program 6 days week for about 30 minutes a day. Alternating cardio and strength each day...I also try to find other things to do through the week to increase my activity. Having a support group is also a big key. This process has required a huge commitment to ourselves and each other.

If any of our followers would like to share their personal story with us, please post a comment and we can re-post it on the blog.

Day #33... Keep the Train-A-Rollin'

"Go for JCrum"

I just need to get this out... I HATE POWER YOGA!!!  Man, you would think it would start to get a little easier... but, nooooooo it doesn't.  I'm trying to push myself this week so I can see some weight loss.  Thanks to the guys yesterday for the lunch break.  That was fun and we ate pretty good.  I love salads.

Anyway, keep up the good work guys.  And I'll see you tomorrow at church.

Day #32 "BOOM"

Wow.....i guess that's really the only way i can describe the events that unfolded yesterday. Bro Gene I hate to see you go but I completely understand why. Very lucky church to get such an amazing pastor. I think I'm just going to leave the whole situation alone after saying that, and move on to something more pleasant.
Did me some cardio last night and then woke up and busted out some sculpt this morning. It always make me feel good to get that work out in. I am really looking forward to some results this week. I plan on working really hard the rest of the week. I might throw in some extra cardio(elliptical machine) this week as well. I just want to encourage everyone to continue to make good food choices. This is life change and it take sacrifice, glad we can all experience it together.

Day 32... Hmmmmmmm

"Go for JCrum"

WOW... what else can you say about yesterday????  So this morning I got up and relieved a lot of stress and anxiousness by working-out.  I feel a lot better.  And thanks Hutch for that, I know I needed it.  So this past weigh-in wasn't impressive for me AT ALL... but the transformation pictures tell a different tale.  Which is fine with me.  I guess as long as I'm seeing a difference the fat is leaving and being replaced by muscle.

Anyway, just wanted to say that I love you guys and let's keep up the hard work.  I know it's getting harder but we can do it!!!

Hutch Day 31...

Hmmm...So it's been a tough day. I'll be honest, there's a lot running through my head right now. I'll share some encouragement my older brother Dave sent me...It meant a lot...

6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Thanks Dave...

I'm not trying to get all mushy today, but I think we all need to come to a realization that God is in control. There's no reason to be anxious, but always be in prayer and let Him know your heart. He will bring you the peace that will help keep you focused on Him.

Day #29 - " Checking on the kids"

DANG...... 11lbs in just 4 weeks. I'm really pumped about the numbers I've put up so far. I have to say, some weeks weren't as good as others, but the end result is awesome. I am hoping to keep these kinda results up for the next 60 days and arrive at my goal weight somewhere around 170. I enjoyed playing cards with the boys again last night. It was actually a very odd game a poker where Jcrum dominated the table and D-Rock had the short stack all night long. After playing for way to long we all decided to have a winner takes all had......and the short stack threw the knock out blow to Mr. Party Poker, Mr. High Roller, Mr. Hunting Gnome, and Mr. OCD about my chips. Overall another great night of hanging out with some of the best guys i know.

Hutch Day 29er...

What's up my people...4 more pounds. Would like a few more, but I'll never argue with a loss. These next two weeks will be pretty tough. I will be traveling with TwoEmptyChairs and driving their tour bus for their Winter Fest Tour. They have already been hard on me about my weight and are great accountability partners so I'm worried, but not that worried. Please be in prayer for us as we travel. We will leave Wed. the 10th and I will be posting with pictures of the tour while I'm gone. Maybe I'll weigh in a day early before I go. Anyway, I'm proud of all of the guys and gals. Let's keep it up! Out!

Hutch Day Twenty Something...

Hey, Thanks to all who were in prayer for Meg and her Grandpa. We loved him and he will be missed.

After spending almost a week in Ft. Smith due to the passing of Meg's Grandpa, I'm not really sure where my weight will be. Lot's of food, and not really being in the mood for dieting. I still stayed true to the no coke rule though so that's a plus...and I feel like overall I've done pretty well...I just havn't been able to exercise like I need to. Exercise has actually been non-existant since the Ice Tornado of January '09. We are traveling back in tonight and I miss everyone...I'm ready for weigh-ins. Keep up the good work, I have a feeling this week will be much better than the last for most of us. James, thanks for your encouraging word...I cried. Also, for the record, IBS stands for Irritable Bowel Syndrome...holla,

Hutch

Day #26... WORTH IT!!!

"Go for JCrum"

Ok... so today was cardio abs.  I feel alot better after doing it and a hot shower than I did actually DOING it.  So we've been at this for almost 4 weeks now and I want to let you know some changes that I've seen in me and others.

#1.  Our eating habits.  It's pretty funny to see how we eat as a group now than we did before.  Now you can look at our table and see salads and fruit instead of chunks of meat and Dr. Peppers.

#2.  Our bathroom trips.  Now we go b/c we have to pee b/c of all the water we're drinking, not b/c how much food we've eaten.  I know for myself, my IBS has decreased in frequency quite a bit.  Almost to zero.

#3.  Our bond with each other.  I think this has allowed us to grow a little closer together.  Not that we weren't before, but sometimes it takes things like this to build on what we already have.

Enough of that for now.  Thursday is looming closer... and with every hour that ticks by I grow more excited to see how much weight we've all lost.  The pictures are going to be truth tellers too.  Anyway, see you guys Wednesday.  ALL HAIL THE PHAT-YS!!!

Day #25... Going, Going, Gone!!!

"Go for JCrum"

So today was sculpt circuit.  I LOVE IT!!!  I could do them everyday... 3 x's a day.  Not looking forward to tomorrow's sweat circuit... especially power yoga.  But, we gotta do it.  No pain... No gain!

3 days until weigh-ins and pictures.  Let's keep going strong fellows... and gals!!!  Looking forward to some results.

"JCrum OUT"

What A Game!!!

That was probably the best Super Bowl I have ever seen. Thanks to the DePew's for having us over. I thought that I would get tired of salads by now, but I still luv 'em! I think Craig gave Kev a run for his money with that chicken he cooked last night! Great job Craig! And thanks Aud for eating all of my olives!
Lisa and I did Sculp today. I think that I am hating the 7-7-7's more than Power Yoga. I do feel that it is getting easier every day. I was getting worried because in 2 or 3 weeks we step it up a notch with the 3-4 circuit, but I am looking forward to it. It is nice having Lisa doing this with me. It's not easy for her, but she hasn't let up.
Hutch and Meg, we miss ya and are praying for ya. Looking forward to getting together this Thursday for weigh-in's and pictures. I can actually see some oblique muscles this morning!! WOO HOO!!!!! Let's keep it going!!!

Ok... just got done doing cardio and I have say that I still HAAAAATE power yoga!  But it sure feels good once you're done.

Want to say thanks to Craig for opening his home to us tonight for the Super Bowl.  Amazing chicken salad... yes sir may I have another!!!

Almost a 1/3 of the way through this journey we like to call the P90.  Photos are this week.  Maybe we'll see some change.  I'm hoping to lose at least 5 lbs so I can be under 200 lbs.  We'll see how it goes.  Let's kick it into high gear guys!!!

Supa Bowl Sunday - Day#24

Well guys, ever since this whole ice storm i have kinda fell off the horse in the exercise department. I have actually been pretty sick ever since the first night without power. Sore throat, runny nose, etc... I'm starting to feel a little better this morning so i jumped back on the workout this morning. It felt really good. I am going to work out extra hard the rest of the week to make up for lost time....we will be at the 30 day mark this week and i am really hoping to say good bye to the 190's. I knows it hard guys, but lets kick some butt this week.
