I'm still not a fan of plyo but i can deal with it if i need to. Today's workout is shoulders and arms and i'm pretty excited about that. I like the strength training days, no matter how hard they are...i just feel like i see more progress from them right now rather than the cardio days (plyo, cardio x, & kempo). I know it all plays a huge role in everything. I've lost another 3.5 lbs since i started this program...I'm pretty excited about that, cause really, for the first few days, like day 1-5, i really didnt watch my diet very well at all. I've actually lost the 3.5 lbs since Friday...So I'm pumped about that. With all this working out, the weight will fall off again, and it's going to have to at some point. When I graduated high school, i was 230 lbs. With changes in my body, im not sure that I can make it there, but with a good body that's in shape and somewhat muscular, I could settle for 250. When meg and I got back from our honeymoon I weighed in at 266 and that's the last time i've been that small. that will be 5 years come July. Maybe by July 17, I'll be back there. Ok, i'm out, see you tomorrow.

Hutch Day 10...
Wow, it really doesn't seem like I've been doing this for 10 days...apparently it's going to go by faster than i thought. I'm still getting worked out pretty good, and I may have mentioned this before, but I'm going to start subbing Cardio X for Yoga X days...I can't do half of the yoga "poses" and there's no way I'm working anything out by not doing it right...plus the minor feelings of embarrassment and stupidity. All in All, it's working. I've lost about 2 lbs total since I started...I'd like to see a little more weight loss, but it will come. Until tomorrow, (i Hope)...

Hutch Day 3...UGG Ab ripper x
Just confirming that Ab Ripper X was in fact created and edited by the devil himself. Having said that, day three is over. Phew. Only 87 left! I'm gonna make it. I can really tell that my left arm is weaker than my right...my left shoulder, arm, muscles give out quicker than my right. I also worked muscles today that I had no clue how to exercise, however, I feel them really well now in part because they are still burning. Two days from now I'm sure I will really feel them. Actually, I can pin point every muscle in my arms, shoulders and back now...just ask, I'll show and name. Ok then, peace out...I know it's technically tomorrow, but I'll see you then...or today, whichever comes first...and a partridge in a pear tree...

Hutch Day 2...WOOT!
If you have been wondering, I have to tell you...there is no way on God's beautiful green earth that this program doesn't work if you put your time and effort into it. In two days, I have already been worked to my fat bones. I'm not miserable...I'm not going to let myself get that way...shame on me and whoever who thinks a good body comes at an easy price. I could do with a little less of Tony H's ego...but if it works, it works. Even if I'm not superstar rock hard body in 90 days, I see no way in the world that I won't be another 5o lbs lighter at the end of my first round...seriously. This is the real deal...See ya tomorrow...

I FEEL REALLY OLD RIGHT NOW
There are certain things that a 40 year old man is not supposed to do. One of them is the "flying-one-leg-reach-for-the-sky" yoga move that they tried to make me do this morning. They all must be related to Gumby! Couldn't make it through Yoga X without pulling something. Small setback, but I will be alright. I hope that the rest of you guys are coming along as well as I am. I am really sore and hurting, but it's a good hurt. It will all be worth it to see us in 90 days! Let's keep it going! BRING IT!!!!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!
MY BUNS ARE ON FIRE!!!! If the only thing we did was Plyometrics, then we all would look like Crumby's "crystal ball body". I have not been this wasted since I was in my 20's. And for those who don't know, I am 40! I was able to do about 80% of it, which is alot more than I was expecting. I am still sore from yesturday's Chest & Back.
It is encouraging to see all the changes in all of us. Just take a look at the 0-90 day pictures and it is amazing. Lisa and I took measurements at day 1 of all upper and lower body. I lost a total of 20 inches and Lisa lost 11. I lost 6" on my stomach, 5" on my hips, 3" on my chest, and 3" on my thighs. It just proves what encouragement from your friends(plus a little competition) can do for anyone. I know that I could not have come this far without my friends and my wife's constant encouragement. BRING IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ALL HAIL THE BASHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Look Into the Future

I found a crystal ball today. And it asked what I wanted to see. I told it I wanted to see 90 days into the future and what I would look like. This is what she showed me. Amazing huh? Shows what a little hard and pain can bring you. Let's keep up the hard work and remember what Tony H says... BRING IT!!!

P90X: Day 2!!!

After 2 days of P90X workouts (Chest & Back, Ab Ripper X, & Plyometrics), I realized why he puts the "X" on it. This is much harder than the P90, but the results are going to be alot more noticeable too. Plyometrics is no joke. I had to take a break and almost didn't make it through it.
Let's keep up the hard work and hears to another 90 days of fun and PAIN!!!

WOW!!! I can't believe we made it through 90 days. The weight some of us lost is simply incredible. I know I couldn't have done it w/out you guys. I would have given up a long time ago if I was doing this by myself. I am excited and anxious to start the 2nd phase of this process. Although it's going to be brutal and painful, the reward will be far WORTH IT!!! The pictures are incredible. Let's keep up the good work... and let's BRING IT!!!

Day #91 "Change for tomorrow..."

"Go for D-Rock"(man i love the TV show "The Unit")
DANG!!!!!!! Are you serious!!! We really made it through the 90 days..... I honestly can't believe that it went by so fast. I am so proud of everyone and the changes that have been made. We honestly aren't the same group of people that started this thing as. We have since lost enough weight to have made up an additional member, which is insane. I am excited and can't wait to see what the next 90 days have is store for us.
"Change for tomorrow...." Just something for everyone to think about.
If you want to make a change for tomorrow, what are you going to do differently today?
WOW!!!! Pretty thought provoking question that can be applied to all areas of our lives. Weather it be spiritual, physical, mental, or even relationships, what are you going to do today to make tomorrow different? We have been having revival at church and this question really hit me. If i think on daily basis," man i really want a closer relationship with God", I mean that's good and all, but what am i doing today to help facilitate the change that i wish for??? It's the same with weight loss. I can wish all day long that i looked differently, but what am i willing to do today to make this change apparent tomorrow? I hope everyone is still excited about the changes that will happen in all our lives if we are willing to put forth the effort today. I can't wait to continue to grow spiritually and shrink/build muscle physically.

WHAT'A GOING ON HERE!!!!
Hey Guys and Gals,
I think we have hit a pothole in the road lately. Havent seen a new post in a long time. I myself have hit a rough spot. I have worked out maybe 4 times the past two weeks. Some of it because of work, but most of it because I have not been very motivated lately. If you want some motivation, then I suggest you go to YouTube and search "Nick Vujicic"! If this guy does not motivate you to overcome any situation, be it lack of want-to or things at church that are happening or things in your life, then your in trouble. He really will move you one way or another. I love you guys and gals and want all of to stay on track with P-90 and everything else in our lives. GOD IS IN CONTROL!!!!!!!!

Day ????

I have lost count of what day it is. There are all running together at this point. My eating habits of late have been terrible and the scale showed that this morning. This week's weigh-in is definitely not going to be a good one for me unless something HUGE changes between now and then. I'm excited about this journey we are on... and excited about the new adventure we are about to take (P90X).
Let's keep each other motivated and keep pushing each other to do good work.

NOT A GOOD WEEK FOR THE OLD MAN
I really let myself down this week. I missed 3 or 4 workouts this week just because of laziness. I just couldnt get motivated at all. And my eating habits sucked! I even enjoyed 2 or 3 Dew's this week. But, I had one last hoorah at Chili's last night, now I am done with all that crap. I guess everyone who changes their lifestles like we all have is gonna slip up every once in a while. I hope that if any one of us is struggling with any of this will be motivated enough to share with the group so we can lift each other up off the ground and say "Suck it up, Wuss!!!"
Really missed getting together last night, but I did enjoy spending time with the family. Looking forward to having a good week. P90X is just around the corner! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' BOUT!!

Day #67 "eat your heart out Tony H."
WHAM.......yesterday I knew i need to bust out some cardio, but my living room was occupied my two outstanding teachers who were digilently working. So i figured i would get out side and go for a little bike ride. Wow....by the time i made it back i had been gone for about an hour or so and i could barely stumble through the door. I am really fortunate to have the new Fayetteville trail system right at my back door. I jumped on my bike and rode from my apartment to Paridise Valley Golf course and back. I really can't believe i made it that far, by the end i was just praying for it to be over. My legs where buring like crazy and that little bitty bike seat had hurt my bum some sorta bad. I am guestamating that the trip covered about 4 miles one way. So i think i probalby did some where around 8 miles on the bike. On my next trip i will strap on the GPS and see if i can get a little closer in my guestamation. Here is a pic so you can see the course i travled on my bike. Keep up the awesome work.
Day #67... i think
"Go for JCrum"
Day 67.... WOW... never thought I would make it this far. Sorry guys... I didn't. You guys have kept me going. Knowing that you guys were not giving me made it not give up. I am very pumped about finishing the P90 and moving on to the P90X. I have never felt this good about how my body looked in a VERY long time. I'm pumped about softball to get started. We should have a good team this year... well, at least we'll all be in shape.
I want to thank Kev for opening up his home to us every week. I know it means a lot to me, and I'm sure everyone else, that you're doing that for us. And food is incredible... so's the fellowship!!! Let's pushing each other and lifting each other up!!!

Sup...Day (well into this)
Hey People...sorry it's been so long. Not too happy with last weeks weigh in. I'm putting a fix to that. Getting ready for P90X here in a few weeks and I need to drop as much as I can. This morning I went on a mile long walk in my neighborhood an realized really quick that a mile is much longer than one would expect. Also, after contacting my mother when I returned from my walk, I realized that if you do step on a crack, it does not in fact break your mom's back, thus curing my OCD which causes me to not step on a sidewalk crack...and that's a good thing since I learned today that it is virtually impossible to walk a mile on a sidewalk without stepping on a crack...so don't worry mom...your back is fine.

Day #63 - Pictures and weigh-in tonight!

"Go for D-Rock"
It's been a really busy week, not at work, but just in general. I also felt very unmotivated at times during the week, especially on cardio days. I'll be honest, i skipped several workouts due to both factors above. I've eaten really well, so i hope that will play into the results tonight. My goal is to be around 177 tonight. We'll see!
In other news:
Got lights installed on jeep
Got new camera to replace broken camera to take pictures of jeep
Got interview on Wednesday, Audra does also
Last day at with the FDIC will be the 19th
Leave for Paris on the 20th
Wow!!! Lots of stuff going on right now.

Day #62... ALMOST PICTURE DAY!!!

First off I want to say congrats to Craig & Stef for the little one that has come into this world. How your world is going to change forever... for the GOOD!!!
Secondly, I got on the scale this morning and it read 199.2 lbs. It has been probably 5 years since I have seen a "1" for the first number of my weight. I'm so happy. I thought this week was going to be a wash b/c, like Todd, I haven't been very motivated this week. Just proves if you just keep "pushing play", good things will happen.
Let's pushing each other and keep lifting each other up in this crazy time we are in right now. Love each one of you guys!

CONGRATS CRAIG & STEPH
I would like to praise God today for the safe arrival of little DePew! Olivia is a beautiful little girl! Lisa and I saw her last night and I tried to show her how to give the "Hook'em Horns" sign, but Craig showed her how to do another(I'll let him tell you about that)! Craig and I had a celebritory Big Mac meal at 1 am. this morning...so my weigh-in this week may stink, but it was worth it.
It has been hard to stay motivated this week for some reason. I keep seeing improvement every week, but this week has been rough. The only drawback is my clothes. My jeans are falling off of me. It's a nice problem to have.
Let's all keep each other lifted up and motivated. I am looking forward to getting pictures made this week. I think we all are going to see some real improvement in how we look. GET R DONE!!!

Day #54... Almost 2/3 Through

I can't believe we almost 2/3 of the way through this process (well... the first stage at least). The transformation I've seen in all of us is amazing. It's getting harder for me to keep doing these for some reason lately. Don't know if it's b/c I've seen a change and my mind is somehow content w/ it. But not me. I want to see more change. So I push myself in every work-out to do more than I did the day before. Let's keep up the amazing work guys.
Some have asked when we are going to post new pictures. We post pictures at Day 1, 30, 60, and 90. So our next pictures will probably be posted next Thursday or Friday.

Day #53 Baby face

Wow.....who would have thought that when i actually shaved all the hair off my face my chin and upper lip would get cold. That's right guys i shaved it all off. It's been around 3 years since i didn't have any facial hair. I started growing it 3 years ago because i was starting to gain a little weight and a goatee makes my face look slimmer. It helps to cover up any double chin.....which is the main reason i haven't shaved it off since. I have been feeling a lot more confident with the recent weight loss, and i have an interview in a couple week, so i just went for it. I guess it's the season for change......new body, new since of health, soon changes in job, changes all around at church, Audra graduates soon, new softball season(got that right), and I'm sure I've missed some of the other changes going on around me. It's a little scary, but exciting all the same. Keep up the hard work bros!!

Day #52... Crescent... to Warrior...

That's right... today was cardio/abs. I made it about 85% through every move in the ab routine. The ones toward the end kicked my rear-end. I hate full body crunches. We put up some good #'s last week at weigh-in. Let's everybody keep up the good work and push hard during our work-outs. Our "BEACH BODY" is only a couple of months away (after P90X... of course). I can already see big changes in all of us and can't wait to see the end result.

Day #48... And Then Came The Boom!!!

That's right fellas. Softball season is right around the corner. With the work-outs we're doing and the weight we're losing... we're gonna be in great shape for softball. Plus, w/ the addition of a new bat (thanks D-Rock) the opposition will be filled with fear and awe. That's right SHOCK-N-AWE BABY!!! That's going to be our team motto. I'm feeling good this week. This new work-out is kicking my butt, but also helping w/ the weight loss. Let's keep up the good work.

Wow... do my legs hurt something fierce! I thought I wasn't going to make it through cardio this morning. My legs were so sore from yesterday's sculpt circuits. But I did. I just thought of what a friend told me once... GIT'R DUN!!!! With this new work-outs being amped up, I have a feeling we're going to see some weight change this week at weigh-ins. We are now just over half way through with our first 90 days of this transformation. Some of us have started the next sections of workouts, which is a lot more challenging. Yesterday i did the new sweat routine, and today i went straight into the new sculpt routine. WOW!!! I am completely exhausted after these new workouts.... I took this picture right after i finished sweat last night, i thought i might be able to capture how badly i was sweating. The picture can't begin to show the sweat that was pouring from my body. Lets have a great week and keep up the hard work.

I did the first 3-4 cardio on friday, but due to the stuff at JBU this weekend wasn't able to do sculpt. Lisa and I did it this morning...and we DIED!! I have not been this worn out since, well, never! It's a little discouraging. I know that it will get easier as time goes by, but it still sux. I am not looking forward to weigh-ins this week. My diet this past 3 or 4 days has been ugly. Time to get back on track. Let's keep each other lifted up...it's only gonna get harder from here. Hutch, we miss ya buddy.
